A narrative text is an imaginative story to entertain people (teks narasi adalah cerita imaginatif yang bertujuan menghibur orang).
Communicative purpose of Narrative Text
Communicative goals Narrative Text as described above is to entertain the listener or reader about a past story or stories related to the experience of real, imaginary or complex events that led to a crisis, which eventually find a solution.
Generic Structure Narrative Text
Each type of English text (genre) has the structure of the text on their own. Structure of Narrative Text consists of three parts:
A. Orientation
In the Orientation section contains the introduction or the introduction of the characters in the story as well as time and place of occurrence.
2. Complication
Complication section contains an overview of the emergence of crises or problems experienced by the characters in the story that must be solved.
3. Resolution
Resolution on baigan contains characters from a story about how the solve the problems that exist in the Complication.
The Social Function of Narrative Text
- The purpose is to entertain, create, stimulate emotions, motivate, give and teach readers.
- A narrative text usually has moral value.
